Visores para Dodge Durango

Dodge Durango Sun Visors

The Dodge Durango is an SUV built around the Dakota from the same company. It went through several design changes over the years and came out in three different generations. No matter what generation you have, you can keep the sun out of your eyes with Dodge Durango sun visors.

What is a stock sun visor?

A stock sun visor refers to the visor that came on your SUV when you first bought it. Dodge designed these visors to look and function like those in other vehicles. The one on the drivers side pulls down and covers the window to keep the sun from streaming across you. You can also pull it straight down to block the sun streaming in through the windshield. A second visor sits on the passengers side and functions in the same way. You can find basic stock visors that have a mirror you can access by sliding off a cover. Some visor mirrors automatically illuminate when you move that cover. Stock sun visors feature the same parts, including:

  • Visor: This main piece is the part that you move when the sun gets in your eyes. The visor is long enough to nearly cover the width of your side window.
  • Clip: The clip is the piece that actually holds the visor in place and keeps it from dropping down. This clip screws into the roof of your SUV.
  • Latch: Your visor will also have a latch that attaches to the roof. A small plastic arm on the visor clips into this latch when you dont need to use it.
How do mesh sun visors work?

Unlike stock sun visors that Dodge makes, mesh sun visors are available from other manufacturers. These fit on both the drivers and the passengers sides, but they will also fit over your back windows. Parents often use mesh visors to keep their kids comfortable in the backseat. These visors use a type of mesh material that is flexible and lightweight. When you put one on your window, you can stretch the material to completely cover the glass. The mesh allows you to see through the window while blocking out the sun.

What companies make visors compatible with the Durango?

The Durango will work with sun visors made by companies other than Dodge. Factory Automotive Distributors, Factory Spec, UU-Auto Parts, and Covercraft all make compatible products. You will find some heated products as well. Heated visors fit over an entire window and use heat to keep the inside of your vehicle warm. That heat also melts ice and snow on the outside.

Do visors come in different colors?

Whether you have an SRT, GT, or any other model of the Dodge Durango, you can use different colored visors. Dodge makes visors in both gray and tan. Both of these are official colors that match back to the interior of your vehicle. Visors that have an illuminated mirror inside also come in these same color options.
