• Locate and remove the two screws on the wall of the truck bed that hold the taillight assembly in place.
• Pull the assembly away from the vehicle a short distance and disconnect the electrical harness. Discard the old assembly.
• Connect the electrical harness to the new taillight assembly and pop it into the cavity. Insert the two screws to complete installation.
• Repeat these steps for the opposite assembly.

It’s common practice for Chevrolet S10 owners to augment the function of their taillights with an accessory called an LED tailgate light bar.
