  • Begin by removing the old arm rest. It should be connected by a series of screws or bolts that hold the arm rest in to place. Use a 10 or 15 Torx bit to remove the screws. There may also be a few retainer tabs that keep the console in position; remove these as well. The arm rest should now detach and you should be able to carefully pull it right off.
  • Next, make sure that the console is in proper placement. Align the new arm rest with the screws and bracket that the old arm rest was positioned in. Reinstall the arm rest by placing the bolts back in the same manner that you removed the original piece. Test out your new arm rest to ensure it is properly functioning. The arm rest should open and close easily in the same fashion as the old one.
